Life has not always been so wonderful for Rene. His journey has been tough and challenging…
Born in a tiny village on the Island of Haiti, Rene’s story is a real rags-to-riches journey. At the early age of 9 months old, his mother left him behind with a neighbor in order to go find a better way to break the cycle of poverty. Short after, several lethal diseases pounded Rene and vowed to end his existence.
Most of the people in his village predicted he would not survive. But young Rene continued to press on in spite of the difficult times. At the age of seven, he reunited with his mother. However, his battle with poverty was not over.
In Port-Au-Prince, Rene lived in a little shack infested with rats and roaches along with his mother, sister, and brother. While most people in his neighborhood were living a life of resignation, Rene was destined for a new and better life.
At the age of 21, he left Haiti with a theater company and landed in the US with $5, 2 shirts, one pair of pants, and unable to speak any English. Rene worked as a janitor in Miami and washed cars on the street while learning English.
Years later, he landed a job as a doorman in Atlanta, Georgia. Rene diligently learned English one word at a time. While parking cars at the hotel, he began to notice books on the back seats. He would go to Barnes and Noble to buy the books.
One of the books talks about being a motivational speaker in the US. Rene decided that’s what he wanted to do. He immediately took the necessary steps to pursue a career as a motivational speaker in spite of the fact that he had no resources or connections.
Again, with sheer determination and an unwavering commitment, Rene began to study public speaking and marketing. Soon, he launched his own speaking business. Today, Rene is living his dream in the US.
Now, he wants to show exactly you can launch your speaking business and make it big as well.
