If you read the first post on this blog Become a Motivational Speaker, I talked about those who quite too early in the race.

As you can imagine, I should be the quitter, right? Also, by all indications, the odds were stacked against me. So, how did I make it?

Well, I didn’t discover the magic bullet or formula that made me successful fast. I learned the hard way. I discovered everything I’m about to share with you through trial and error.

Nothing really fell into my lap by accident.

In fact, when I started I had no clue what I was going to talk about. I had never given a speech before. And I was a very shy fellow. But in spite of all that, I was sure speaking was my calling. I threw myself wholeheartedly into it. And I’m so glad I did.

After fumbling in the dark not knowing what to do for a long time, I started discovering what works and what doesn’t.
