You are a motivational speaker, coach, consultant, trainer, or pastor. Now you want meeting planners, speakers bureaus, companies, and associations to call you. It’s time to hit the stage. You want to speak at different venues. The question is, how do you to make that happen?
Well, I can tell you it’s not going to happen automatically.You will need to do your due diligence. You must become a prolific creator. And here’s what I mean…
You see, having information in your head is not going to make it happen. Meeting planners will not seek you out for the wisdom that is inside your head.
You need to use that information to create. You need to create books, CDs, DVDs, podcast, youtube videos, etc.
Think about this… your friends, family members, and acquaintances cannot promote. They cannot tell their bosses or friends you are the person to help them solve their particular problem. They need something from you to do so.
You must be in a lot of places at the same time twenty-four seven. And that can only happen when your creation is out in the marketplace.
The thought leaders you see out there such as Oprah Winfrey, TD Jakes, Creflo Dollar, Joel Osteen, etc. are prolific creators. They don’t become rich and famous by hoping. They work hard. They create constantly.
In fact, the reason you know about them is because you came across one of their creations. You either read their books, heard them on a CD or watch them online in a video.

This video is so profound sir. I’m not even sure how it got on your list but I’m blessed! I’m 38 years old and really struggling with getting my speaking career started. I know I’m predestined for this but I’m not sure how to take the right steps like business license, press kit, website, bio ect. I live outside of Atlanta by way of Lawrenceville and know I need to start building relationships with a gentleman like yourself and even connecting with organizations in the area where I could volunteer my time to speak to groups and catch as must footage as possible. I really need to speak with you because like I said this video hit my inbox and in a season of me really trying to get going.

Excellent Presentation, well done! I was a motivational speaker 15 years ago. Now, after four published novels, I spent the next 12 years ghostwriting and editing untold stories and memoirs. Hundreds! Now, the freelance market is saturated with the third world countries offering to write a book for a pittance.
I want to get back into speaking nationally an Internationally. I’m busy creating unique presentations and capturing video clips as part of my resume. I’m at the stage of how to marketing myself and get people to want to hire me. I look forward to your tips, I don’t want any coaching, my style is my own and is a winner once I get in front of people.

You said you don’t any coaching and your style is your own and you are a winner once you get in front of people. Then do that. Get in front of people and win. It’s that simple. You don’t need tips. That would be a form of coaching.
You see, many years ago, I wanted to charge $10,000 for my speech. I paid a guy $10,000 to create a demo video for me. That gave me the confidence to quote my fee without apprehension. I still pay for coaching and consulting. I still invest in courses. I still attend seminars.
The formula is simple. You want people to pay you to coach and speak, start doing so yourself. Every thought leader you see out there pay for coaching and consulting that also include President or countries, CEOs, doctors, lawyers, etc.
In fact, in some fields, they must take classes for CE credit.
The universe works on this simple principle: Give and you shall receive. That’s right out of the Bible. There’s no way around that.
Hallo Rene I’m following your carrier I’ve been speaking on radios as to make my self recognised I also have a face book page for motivational messages where by I post everyday the problem is no body ever attended my seminars when ever I organized them. How would you help me?
I am not sure about what you mean by how I would help you. Are you talking about my coaching program? If not, here’s my feedback for you:
I don’t know what audience you are trying to reach or what problems you are solving for your marketplace. I also don’t know what country or language your prospects speak.
What I know for sure, you cannot expect everybody to pay attention to you. You need to define a particular segment of the market such students, salespeople, customer service professionals, healthy living, senior living, frontline workers, nurses, doctors, parents, etc.
Speak to them with confidence and conviction. Know for certain you can help them solve their problems.
I suspect that your main problem is your inner game. You have to create the success you want internally first. It is your confidence level more than anything else that will attract the herd. That’s how you create radio shows speeches, and products that connect emotionally with the marketplace.
Believe or not, people will give you money just because you exude a high level of confidence and you speak with conviction. It’s all about having your psychology right.
The reality is, a high level of confidence has nothing to do with what you have or where you are in life. You can turn the switch on anytime you want.
